Utah SNAP

Utah’s Food Stamp Program, or commonly known as SNAP, serves as the first line of defense against hunger for Utah residents.

SNAP provides monthly benefits to eligible families to buy an adequate supply of healthy food through an EBT card known as the Utah Horizon Card — an electronic card that is accepted at most grocery stores.

While anyone may apply for SNAP benefits, the program is primarily designed to help those who need food assistance most — low-income families, single parents, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
