Texas SNAP

Texas SNAP, commonly known as Food Stamps, helps needy individuals and families to afford the food they need for a nutritionally adequate diet.

SNAP often serves as a first line of defense against hunger, providing critical support to older adults, people with disabilities, and unemployed individuals.

SNAP benefits are issued through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, known in Texas as “Lone Star Card”, that is accepted at most grocery stores.
