Wyoming POWER
TANF is a program for low income families with children. In Wyoming, this program is known as POWER, a shorthand for Personal Opportunities With Employment Responsibilities.
POWER is a time-limited cash assistance program designed to help families become self-sufficient through a combination of employment, cash support and other supportive resources.
All eligible families in Wyoming receive at least 24 months of assistance through Wyoming POWER but no more than 60 months in a lifetime.
POWER has two types of programs, each serving different types of households:
POWER Work
Helps individuals find employment or other financial stability based on each individual’s needs. This program offers free assistance with child support.
POWER Caretaker Relative
Offers cash assistance to family members serving as primary caregivers for children whose parents are absent from the home.

Who is eligible for TANF in Wyoming?
In order to qualify for TANF, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
