Access Missouri
Access Missouri, the state’s largest student financial aid program, is a need-based grant program for Missouri residents pursuing their first bachelor’s degree.
Eligibility is based on the Student Aid Index (SAI). Students with an SAI of 12,000 or less, as determined by the FAFSA, are eligible for the award.
Based on the type of school you are attending, awards range from $1,700 to $3,500 per academic year and are subject to the availability of state funding.

Who is eligible for Access Missouri?
- Be a Missouri resident and U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be enrolled at least half-time as an undergraduate student at a participating Missouri school
- Must have a valid SAI of 12,000 or less as determined by the FAFSA
- Not have earned a baccalaureate degree
How do I apply for Access Missouri?
To be considered for eligibility, file your FAFSA by April 1, 2026. Those who apply on or before February 2, 2026 are guaranteed an award.
