Massachusetts MASSGrant Plus

MASSGrant Plus is a need-based financial aid program that provides “last-dollar” assistance to eligible Massachusetts undergraduate students attending public colleges and universities.

As a “last-dollar” grant, award amounts vary based on a student’s remaining financial need after federal aid, grants, and scholarships are applied to tuition and mandatory fees.

MASSGrant Plus was expanded in late 2023 to offer more benefits . For Pell-eligible students, it now covers 100% of tuition and fees and a $1,200 allowance for books and supplies. Those with incomes between $73,000 and $100,000 may receive up to a 50% reduction in tuition and fees.
