Who is eligible for Tennessee Student Assistance Award?

  1. Be a Tennessee resident and U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  2. Be an undergraduate student with no prior baccalaureate degree
  3. Be enrolled at least half-time at a public or an eligible non-public postsecondary institution in Tennessee
  4. Having a valid Student Aid Index (SAI) of 3,500 or less
  5. Meet satisfactory academic progress requirements

How do I apply for Tennessee Student Assistance Award?

To be considered for TSAA, you must first submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) listing one or more eligible colleges in the FAFSA.

As funding is limited, early filing of the FAFSA is strongly encouraged as soon as possible after October 1 each academic year. Awards are made until funds are depleted.
