Florida SNAP

Florida’s Food Assistance Program (SNAP) helps low-income Floridians of all ages afford nutritious food by providing monthly benefits at no cost to eligible households.

The program serves low-income families with children, seniors, people with disabilities, and working or unemployed individuals of all ages.

Unless exempt, work-eligible SNAP recipients are required to participate in the SNAP Employment and Training (E&T) program, known as CareerSource, which is operated by local workforce development boards across Florida. 1
