Washington Working Families Tax Credit
Modeled after the federal EITC, the Washington Working Families Tax Credit (WA WFTC) is a new tax refund that will put more money back into the hands of low-to-moderate income individuals and families in Washington.
WFTC, which took efect in 2023, offers a flat credit to low-income families, ranging from $315 to $1,255 depending on the number of qualifying children.
The minimum credit amount is $50, regardless of the number of qualifying children. The actual amount may vary by each family’s tax-filing status, income, and number of children.
