Arkansas Health and Opportunity for Me (ARHOME)
Arkansas Health and Opportunity for Me (ARHOME), previously known as Arkansas Works, is a Medicaid program that offers eligible Arkansans health insurance coverage.
Most ARHOME beneficiaries receive their coverage through private Qualified Health Plans (QHPs) provided by one of two private health insurance carriers:
- Arkansas BlueCross BlueShield
- Arkansas Health & Wellness (Ambetter)
In addition, ARHOME also includes coverages that focus on the health of certain key groups:

Who gets Medicaid in Arkansas?
Most people who can get Medicaid in Arkansas are in one of these groups:
- Age 65 and older.
- Under age 19.
- Blind.
- Disabled.
- Pregnant.
- The parent or the relative who is caretaker of a child with an absent, disabled, or unemployed parent.
- Living in a nursing home.
- Under age 21 and in foster care.
What is the income limit for Arkansas Medicaid?
As Arkansas is expanding Medicaid coverage, nearly all uninsured Arkansans age 19-64 with income up to 138% of the federal poverty level may gain coverage under the ACA. Children and pregnant women are eligible at higher income levels.

Individuals at or below 100% of the federal poverty level, or about $15,650 or less, do not pay a premium or any copays for the care they receive.
Those with income above 100% are responsible for paying part of the premium, with a cap of on premiums and copayments of 5% of income applied on a quarterly basis.
