Arkansas SNAP

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps low-income families in Arkansas afford a nutritionally adequate diet by providing monthly electronic benefits that can be used to purchase food.

In addition to food assistance, the program also provides SNAP recipients with nutrition education, employment and training, and work experience.

All able-bodied adults ages 18–64 without dependents must work or participate in an approved activity for at least 80 hours per month to receive SNAP benefits beyond the three-month time limit.
