Michigan Medicaid: Healthy Michigan Plan

Healthy Michigan Plan is a Medicaid expansion program offering comprehensive, low-cost health care coverage to eligible Michigan residents aged 19—64 with limited income.

It covers essential health benefits, including doctor visits, hospital care, mental health services, prescriptions, and dental and vision care.

Coverage is not entirely free. Beneficiaries may pay small fees  (co-pays) to providers, but these are low and often waived, making it significantly cheaper than private insurance.
