Single Mother Guide benefit estimate Chrome extension now available
Published on November 3, 2026
Single Mother Guide now has a Chrome extension that estimates five government benefits for a household in any of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. 1
The extension covers cash assistance under Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), monthly Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, Summer EBT for school-age children, the monthly food value under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and the maximum Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) benefit.
A household enters a state, a household size, and a monthly or annual income. The extension shows which of the five programs the household may qualify for and the estimated amount. A link opens the state guide on SingleMotherGuide.com, which explains each program and where to apply.
The estimate uses the same eligibility rules as the calculators on SingleMotherGuide.com. Rules and amounts vary by state and change each year.
The result is an estimate only, not an eligibility determination. Only the state or federal agency that runs a program decides eligibility and benefit amounts.
