Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG)

Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG) program provides grant money to Ohio students who demonstrate the highest levels of financial need.

Eligibility is limited to those with an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) of 2,190 or less AND a maximum household income of $96,000.

Award amounts range from $287 to $4,200 annually based on student’s enrollment status and the type of institution the student is attending.

Who is eligible for College Opportunity Grant in Ohio? #

  1. Be an Ohio resident and U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  2. Be enrolled at least quarter time as an undergraduate student
  3. Be admitted and enrolled at eligible Ohio public and private colleges or universities
  4. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA

How do I apply for Ohio College Opportunity Grant? #

To be considered for OCOG, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by October 1 of each year. OCOG is available to use toward tuition and general fee charges.
