Who is eligible for South Dakota Need-Based Grant Program? #

  1. Be a South Dakota resident and U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  2. Must be an undergraduate student with no prior baccalaureate degree
  3. Be admitted and enrolled at least half-time at an approved South Dakota college or university
  4. Must show substantial financial need as determined by the FAFSA

How do I apply for South Dakota Need-Based Grant Program? #

Complete a FAFSA as soon as January 1 of each academic year. Applications submitted before March 1 are given first priority consideration.

However, not all schools participates in the program, so it’s best that you check with your school’s Financial Aid Office to see if your school offers SDNBGP.
