Nebraska Opportunity Grant (NOG) is the State of Nebraska’s only need-based financial aid program for postsecondary students attending eligible colleges and universities throughout the state of Nebraska.
Eligibility is based on EFC and availability of funds. NOG is awarded on a first-come basis to those who have qualified for Pell Grants.
- Be a Nebraska resident and U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Be enrolled at least half-time as an undergraduate student
- Be admitted and enrolled at an eligible Nebraska private college or university to earn a degree or credential
- Have a minimum EFC as determined by the FAFSA
How to Apply?
The NOG is awarded through postsecondary institutions within the state. Students must complete and submit the FAFSA no later than March 1 for priority consideration.
